Covington Ready for Clear Skies and Racing at I-96
CG Motorsports-Glenpool Ok (May, 15th 2019) Matt Covington and team are ready to head to I-96 Speedway to hopefully get in some racing action after fighting weather and cancellations these last few weekends.
“It’s just been a crazy start to the year weather-wise,” stated Matt. “I remember a few years where we’ve lost a few shows to start out the year, but nothing like this. Its not just us either, it’s been all the series. Hopefully we get both nights in this weekend. From what I hear, the track is pretty racy and fast, which fits my style. We’ve been fast and have had good runs this year so far and I hope to keep up the momentum. I’m still frustrated about letting Eagle get away from us a few weeks back, but 2nd is nothing to complain about. I think we had a shot at Selinsgrove for a win after drawing the pole, but the rain had to come and cancel that one too. Hopefully this weekend we can we get some solids nights of racing in and be able to enjoy some clear skies.”
